When Mother' Day Changes

Updated: Jul 19, 2022

Though memory loss can change your relationship with your mother, it doesn’t change the past. The loving moments, the moments of joy, the moments of pain, the person you call Mom will always be in your heart.

Mom can be anyone who cared for you and nurtured you through childhood and adolescence.

Mom can also be a non-present figure making holidays like today difficult and frustrating.

We, here at VirtuALZ, understand that motherhood comes in all shapes and sizes, and while it looks different for everyone, memory loss can change those roles and relationships quickly. It is perfectly normal to be confused about and overwhelmed with those new and changing roles.

Support for Caregivers can feel limited or even non-existent but, the VirtuALZ Care Team is available to help you navigate this new chapter.
